After completing the recipe pouch project, I was trying to find suitable fabrics to start on another sewing project. Wanted to purchase these wonderful organic fabrics from Betz Whitebut just so expensive when I convert them to Singapore $$$ :( Then chanced upon this fabric at PLUCKbut still costs a bomb. Why are pretty fabrics always so expensive???
So finally I ended up with Ikea :( I don't really like to buy fabrics from them though because you can find them in everyone else home. But I'm on a tight budget and I'm too lazy to search high and low at Chinatown or Arab Street.
Inspired by Betz White's tutorialon how to sew a table runner, I attempted to sew one for my MUJI coffee table. I didn't really like the rick rack so I skipped that step. In 4 hours, I managed to complete it! Yay!!! And part of it was recycled cloth from my white curtains :) And I didn't really realise it until it was finished that the cloths that I chose when put together, had a Jap look to it - perfect for my MUJI coffee table! Haaa.
