I love boxes and I love buying boxes, so my kid's toys must be in boxes. Got an old IKEA brown box for Nat to put his cooking toys and other light toys - small enough so that he can move and carry the toy box wherever he likes around the house. He even sits on it like a stool. To let him have a sense of ownership of his toy box so that he will keep his toys on his own, I decided to let him paint it. You can see him trying to paint lines, painting with his fingers, dabbing his paintbrush... He loved painting it so much that until now, he will want to continue to add more to the box like using crayons to draw on it. And yes, he always keeps his toys, even sometimes without me asking him to.
