So blessed with another wedding project :) Really enjoyed it tremendously. The process always makes you cry and laugh at the same time but when you see the finished product, you're so thankful no matter what. You don't get much chance to do place cards in Singapore, it's not "in fashion". Here, you just have a list of names and table numbers and ushers will direct you to the table number and that's it. Not very personal. I guess we are much more pragmatic over here.
Got the idea from Martha Stewart's craft punches but be warned, never ever buy them from Amazon because you won't know it's quality. I bought one off Amazon and I suspect it's from an old stock so the hinges were squeaky and stiff and you need like elephant strength to punch through the card. In the end, elephant strength broke the whole punch into half. And I had to purchase another punch (compromising on a another design which I didn't really like) from a local store but of cos, I could test it with my own bare hands before the purchase and it worked great.
So with limited experience, again, close friends and relatives always so trusting in my ability, I managed to pull these off with of cos my hubby again, and my in-laws. Thanks to Alex, the bride, for getting married so I could do this :) Don't think I'll ever get the chance to do this again. Thanks to Haili for some of the more difficult to translate names into Chinese. Love them totally.
