It was time to put my watercolour practise to an actual piece of watercolour artwork. But it's scary thinking of painting on a piece of white paper. Good thing the Shoot It Sketch It series by Bec from Clouds of Colour, has been inspiring me every week. Recently I was finally brave enough to attempt it. Her work is so intricate and beautiful. And whenever I look at her artwork, there's this calming sense to it, this peace I feel. Basically, just take a photo then sketch it. This photo is meaningful to me because it was during the first hiking trip I took with Nat. I've no idea what the name of the flower is. I think I need more patience in adding details with the black pen and I think I need a better set of watercolours (secret hint for birthday present idea). Well, I framed it up, just in case it was my first and final piece. Heh.
